It was reported by Channel News Asia on 10, September 2021 where personal details of more than 79,000 subscribers on Singapore telco MyRepublic may have been leaked in a data breach on Aug 29. It includes photocopies of identification cards and home addresses. The data stored on a third-party platform includes other information such as users' names and mobile numbers. The firm said it was tipped off by an "unknown external party". Affected users are offered a free service that will alert them of dubious activity on their credit payments.
